In the first judged competition since its introduction this spring, Litigation Lager, ROOBREW's flagship microbrew, took First Place in this year's United States Beer Tasting Championships as the Best Helles-style Lager in the Midwest, according to USBTC Rockies/ Midwest Master Taster Richard Brooke.
Litigation Lager, the first offering from ROOBREW, is brewed in the 100-year-old Burkhardt Brewery in Akron. This Helles-style lager is brewed in the German tradition using select European ingredients, creating a complex taste with a clean finish. Other ROOBREW fine craft beer styles are planned for introduction, including an American Style ale later this year and several seasonal styles next year. Litigation Lager is available in bottles and draft.
ROOBREW, LLC, was founded in 2007 by three local entrepreneurs who share a passion for craft-brewed beer and an appreciation for the historical significance of brewing in Northeast Ohio. ROOBREW contributes a portion of all profits to local scholarships.
